Into the great wide open

Looks like we finally figured it out. Or at least for now. I think I'm doing pretty good, no breakdowns, no moments of insanity. Actually my patience is high and my energy level is too. Not being pregnant agrees with me! Through my whole pregnancy i prayed for patience and strength and the kindness needed to handle my kids. I guess it finally arrived! I pray for a lot of things that may seem to people like things i should inherently have but, i don't so i pray. I hope that someday my kids will know that i not only think of them but i pray for their happiness and for me to be the mom they need.

I need to take some more resent pics but we don't have a camera so we have been borrowing one. Its a nice one and I'm getting it back today so we will have some more pics.

here are some cute ones just for fun. Enjoy!

To all my friends,

I love you dearly, but if you arrive at my house with any baked goods or candy of any sort i will then consider you enemy number one. Bringing gifts that include sugar will now be considered sabotage on my diet and will not be tolerated!
P.S.
Richard will fully accept any goodies, so make sure he is the one that answers the door!

Going off the rails on a crazy train!

poetic...thank you Ozzy for a great line and a great song.

I'm really doing quite well but as i was in the car today my two lovely daughters both had mental breakdowns and this song was on. So to keep myself sane i got a large Oreo Mcflurry. It helped...it really did! The boy is the least of my problems for now, Cate seems to be going through some sort of PMS thing, her emotions are a rollercoaster ride and I'm hanging on for dear life. Emma is having an identity crisis, she keeps lieing and loosing toys and movies because she doesn't listen to me at all. I think they are both adjusting to the boy in their own ways. I hope they adjust soon because i might think about having a breakdown soon. Richard has had a full week at work and so has been home less then usually, so i have been on my own, luckily i have the greatest ward and friends ever. I have gotten dinner the last two night and i think tonight as well. Physically i am OK, but by 4 o'clock I'm exhausted from trying to keep the peace between all the kids and keep Parker safe from Cate. Also I'm kinda tired, not as tired as when i was pregnant, but i still get up and nurse the baby 3 times a night, which is actually not alot, but since i hate the side lying position i end up nursing him in the office, So then by the time I'm done i am fully awake. Today ended great though, because i bought myself a new shirt that i like and found a pair of my old jeans that i can wear, so today i actually put makeup on and felt normal for the first time in a long time. Its funny how such a small thing like a $15 shirt can make your day. I also am going to make a hair apt. to get my hair cut in the style i want. I have been patiently waiting for my short layer to grow long enough and i believe it has. Growing your hair out from a short cut is very long and irritating but alas i think i am through. I found my new hair cut on a blog that i love, Anna maria Horner. She is so cute and her daughter is beautiful and just got it cut. Yes I'm coping a 16 year olds hair style, but its so cute i just cant resist. WOW! this is a long blog with no really paragraphs or anything really important to say.

I hope everyone is doing well, here are some new pics from the pumpkin patch. We had so much fun with grandpa and grandma!

We are OK to go!!!!

OK, we are all back and trying to adjust to a new life. The baby is alive and well, much to Cate's dismay. Cate loves Parker, to death, literally. But with a little work and a strong baby gate i think he just may survive. The C-section was...well...not that bad. I guess it could have been worse, i guess. I think the worse part is the frustration of not being able to do anything normal, like pick up my kids or lean down without pain. But since my mom has been here i have taken full advantage of her while she is here. My kids are going to be devastated when she leaves. And so will I. I don't know what i would have done without her. I guess i will just have to rely completely on Richard for the next few weeks. He has been wonderful and i couldn't have asked for better help. I'm lucky to also have my sister coming to help in a little while. The baby is so great he sleeps all day and never cries. He does have a funny eye so we have been calling him Popeye. My brother has nicknamed him sparky, so we will see which one sticks :) There are some new pictures up on the Picasa website. here is the web page http://picasaweb.google.com/natthurston

Please keep in mind when looking at pictures of me in the hospital that i was very drugged and swollen(fat)!! Thank you for your kindness.

P.S.

for all my friends out there be ready to be used and abused in the next coming weeks!!! LOVE YA
