back to basics

i have been trying to upload pictures but blogger wont let me. i need to get back to blogging so that i can remember all the fun things that are happening around here.
Emma had her 6th b-day and we celebrated in style. We had a huge circus party with tons of sugary foods and clowns and a bounce house and balloons shaped like swords and hats. we decided to go all out this year since we didn't do a party last year. she was able to invite all her class mates but only a few showed up. we had around 15 kids and it was a blast. she got lots of presents and a new bike that has butterfly spokes. she has been practicing really hard to be better on her bike. she also is still in gymnastics once a week. she just loves going and its great exercise for her and Cate. I'm sure Parker will want to join soon. its so crazy to me that Emma is so old, she is going in to first grade!! When did this all happen? i remember very clearly bringing her home form the hospital and holding her on the couch and knowing she was mine to take care of. and now she is so big and doesn't always need or want me around. i hope i can continue having a good relationship with her. i look around at church to all the young women and their mothers, they all see to have a great relationship. that's what i want too.
Cate is going to be 4 this year and is starting pre-school. she has been asking to start since Emma went. she has been learning her letters and how to write her name. we only do it when she wants too, she is so strong willed I'm learning to pick my battles with her. luckily she has a obedient big sister to look up too. she got Emma's old bike with training wheels and is in heaven. she loves feeling like she is as big as Emma. Actually Cate is as big as Emma, she is shorter but has a booty that will someday compete with Beyonce! she is energetic and fun but can be very sensitive too. i can yell at her all day, but if Richard looks at her the wrong way she is so upset she cant function. she has always been a daddy's girl from day one. she loves gymnastics and is really learning to listen and take instruction. she loves to practice on the trampoline with Emma. she is a joy to have around!
Parker is so stinking funny i just cant control myself. i laugh at him more then i should which probably makes things worse, but his smile is sooooo contagious. he still has a droopy eye, but we have been going to the optomologist and she says that we will have to wait until he is 5 to have surgery unless it gets better on its own. i think it adds to his hilarity! he is super naughty and does things that make me want to scream. his new favorite thing is the toilet and flushing things down. i cant even count how many times i have unplugged the toilet only to do it again later. he loves nursery and playing with the kids, i cant take him to gymnastics because he cant handle not being in there too. he throws crazy tantrums and gets pretty mad. Though he does that he is still so happy go lucky he just loves everyone, but when he does throw a tantrum he breathes really hard and sticks out his bottom lip. when he does that he is so cute i cant remember why he was put into time out! he does go to timeout a lot!!!
