Happy Halloween!

We went to Huber Farms and picked pumpkins and had a great time. The kids loved riding on the tractor and running through the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day.
Cate was tinker bell and has been talking about her costume for months. Parker was a ninja and was karate chopping people all night. I'm glad we forgot his sword, it would have been dangerous. Emma was suppose to be Mulan, but the costume never came so she chose a Geisha costume that looked kinda like Mulan. She thought she was pretty hot stuff and did funny poses all night. We went to the Trunk or Treat at church and the kids went crazy going from car to car. With Halloween on Sunday it was nice to have the Trunk or treat. I was scared that Sunday would be terrible with kids coming to the house and my kids crying. But they were really good and i tried to make the night fun. We watched Hocus Pocus and ate pizza and candy. They loved passing out hte candy and seeing all the kids in their costumes.

Utah state fair

While we were in Utah we decided to go tho the fair. Which was great because we missed the fair at home. The kids had to wear a hat just like grandpa.

he loves the carousel
Riding a real pony, she is so cute!
On their first roller coaster.
Trying to show how strong he is, he did a pretty good job.

Good thing Tory and Jenn showed up. Everyone else gets sick on rides. I dont normally, but pregnant i do!
At one point on this ride, grandpa was showing Parker to spit over the side. Awesome.

Yummy cotton candy
I was so tired by the end i barely made it to the car. the kids could have stayed all night. they had a blast!

grandmas and grandpas

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit us and we love having them! Unfortunately i was still sick and tired so we didn't do much, but that was fine with the kids they just wanted to snuggle the whole time.
While my parents were in town i got a call about my Grandma Cleo and that she was really sick and in the hospital. Me and Chris decided we needed to go see her pronto in case we never got the chance again. So 3 days after my parents left i was at their house. Here are all the kids watching a movie in the basement.
We stayed at my parents house and had some fun together while we were there. Picnics in the backyard were the kids favorite part.
Here is Grandma Cleo with the newest great-grandbaby. Henry. He is my heart.
Emma with Grandma.
Grandpa with Henry, they look about the same size!

swimming at the hotel. Chris was the favorite of the trip.

Catch -up time

As you can see I have been trying to play a little catch-up with my posts. I finally got around to down loading pics off my camera and there were 1000!!! it took forever to sort. The posts are not in the right order, oops. it doesn't matter this is for my kids, when im old and cant remember their names or what birthday they have.

First day of school and Parker

Happy Birthday Parker!!! as you can see we didn't have a big party but he still had a blast.
Grandma and Grandpa were here and got him a spider man bike and he thinks hes pretty hot on it. He also got leggos, magnet building things and an awesome spider man skate board. The skateboard is Richard favorite thing. He goes out with the kids and they do tricks together. Richard is pretty good on it, even though its a little small for him.
Parkers first official haircut. not counting the one that Cate gave him in the spring. Dad did a good job and he even looks older :(
Emma's first day of school. She was soooo excited and had a great day. Her new teacher is Ms. Weaver and she loves 2nd grade so much. I missed parents night, when you go in and see the classroom and take your child and introduce them. I was so sick that it just got dropped. Emma said that morning " how do i know where my class is?"
I said " this is your 3rd year at this school, you know where the 2nd grade classes are, and you can ask someone."
"oh, OK mom"
I couldn't believe how casual about it she was, she is definitely growing up and getting to big. Luckily she still is a giant cuddle bug or i might cry myself to sleep!

Thurston Extravaganza!!

The Thurston family decided to all come together in Nauvoo this summer and have a family vacation. I was nasty sick with child, but i still had a blast there. Here the kids are ready fo rthe 8 hour trek to see everyone.
my adorable kids in their new Gma Thurston outfits.
All the cousins. They look so different but have alot of the same quirks and get along really well.
In the visitors center, checking out all the cool stuff
getting ready for the wagon ride and getting ot know the horses.
Emma and David at the kids area, dressed as pioneers and playing with the pioneer toys.
David, Emma and Nicole
Here is out little fam in front of the temple. It was the most beautiful temple i have ever seen. We were lucky enough o go inside and to seal some of the Thurston family members together. it was a wonderful experience and i want o go back really bad!!

oops, skipped soccer

Emma played spring soccer and loved it. At first she complained that there was too much running but then she really got into it. It helped that her best friend Megan was on her team.
she was a great goalie. NO FEAR!

at the park by our house. the kids love to go
I see you cate!

base ball season is upon us

This is Cate's first year of tee ball and she pretty much hated it. she just thought it was hot and boring. but she is sure cute!

Emma prefers soccer but she really enjoyed playing coach pitch this year.
